Stella A. Caldwell, Author: Stella A. Caldwell has written more than 20 books for children covering everything from mythical beasts and legends to the ancient Egyptians, pirates, and medieval knights. She studied English literature at the University of Edinburgh and spent many years working in children's publishing as an editor before writing her first book, a field guide to dragons called Dragonworld.

Eugenia Nobati, Illustrator: Eugenia Nobati is based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she lives with her family, two cats and a dog. Her work has been published in nine countries and more than forty books. She was selected among 16 illustrators, representing Argentina in Bratislava's Bienal 2012. In 2014, she was recognised by ALIJA, Argentina's section of IBBY, for the best illustrated book.
